Gary’s yoga philosophy is best understood as a creation, a fellowship within, with the body, mind, spirit and emotions.
The emphasis is balance within all aspects of life, a bridge to create acceptance of life no matter where one is.
Breath work is an important integral of the whole process. As we know allowing the lungs to expand and retract fills the entire being with great source of nourishment. His all-encompassing philosophy, one of acceptance, allows each student to be where they needs to be within each posture/pose. Part of the emphasis is allowing one to stretch the fabric of the body, its structure, muscles, fascia system, so one may stay flexible, firm, resilient and healthy, gaining length and strength. Gary seeks to create an environment of peace, harmony, acceptance and flexibility to meet individual needs.
“Anyone who practices can obtain success in yoga but not one who is lazy. Constant practice alone is the secret of success.” ~ Hatha Yoga Pradipika
“Undisturbed calmness of mind is attained by cultivating friendliness toward the happy, compassion for the unhappy, delight in the virtuous, and indifference toward the wicked.” ~ The yoga sutras of Patanjali
